About Us

We are John and Gerard, brothers-in-law and together the people behind Anchor Shock EU.

Our story with Anchor Shock began in 2024, when we first came across the product while on holiday. The concept caught our attention right away: a clever and simple way to absorb the shocks and jolts that come with mooring.

But before deciding to really do something with it, we wanted to find out for ourselves whether the product worked as well as it promised. So in 2025 we used and thoroughly tested Anchor Shock ourselves for a full boating season.

And it was that year that convinced us.

We noticed how pleasant it is when the line absorbs the movements of the boat, and how much calm that brings while mooring. At the same time, we began to wonder why a product like this was still barely known in the Netherlands and Europe.

With our enormous watersports market, thousands of marinas and a great many enthusiastic boat owners, we saw a fine opportunity there.

That is why we started Anchor Shock EU in January 2026, with the aim of making Anchor Shock available to boaters in the Netherlands and, step by step, in the rest of Europe.

We stand fully behind the product, precisely because we used it extensively ourselves before deciding to take it on.

For us, Anchor Shock is therefore more than just a product we sell. It is a product that convinced us as boaters ourselves.

And it is exactly that enthusiasm we would like to pass on to other boaters.
